We are an affiliate of the Society for Human Resource Management.  SCHRMA is dedicated to promoting the professional development and growth of members, to raise the standards of performance of human resource professionals, to advance the interests of practitioners of the human resource profession, and to provide opportunities to share experiences and ideas.  Whether you are new to the HR field or have many years of experience, we are a local starting point for networking, information, professional development and continued support of excellence in Human Resources.  We welcome your use of this site as a resource and encourage you to check back frequently for updated information. Jackson, MI, May 2019 — The Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) recently awarded the South Central Human Resource Management Association its prestigious EXCEL Platinum Award for the Chapter’s accomplishments in 2018.

The award aligns individual chapters and state councils’ activities with SHRM’s aspirations for the HR profession. The award recognizes accomplishments and strategic activities and initiatives that enhance the human resources profession.
